Allen Hurns didn’t take long to land with a new organization after the Jacksonville Jaguars released him earlier this week. The wideout has elected to join the Dallas Cowboys on a relatively good deal which will seemingly also allow Dallas to retain star wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Following comes ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio of NBC Sports with additional details from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Josina Anderson.

The Jaguars signed Hurns, 26, in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami. The Jaguars signed Hurns to a five-year, $40.6 million extension back in 2016 after a strong 1,000 receiving yard and double digit touchdown 2015. But was released only two years into his long-term deal. Jacksonville has spent the summer spending money on other parts of their offense including a new deal for quarterback Blake Bortles, a big money deal for offsenvie lineman Andrew Norwell and also agreeing to terms with wideout Donte Moncrief.
Over the past two seasons Hurns caught 74 passes for 961 yards and five touchdowns in 21 games and will look to bounceback on a Cowboys team also looking to return to their glory days.
