Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has reportedly landed his next major role in a feature film. The Queens native is expected to star alongside Mel Gibson in an indie crime thriller called Boneyard.
“Inspired by true events, Boneyard tells of an FBI special agent, played by Gibson, who along with the Albuquerque police department, is hunting for a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector. The chief of police and one of his officers, however, have a contrary view of the manhunt, believing someone in their own department may be the killer,” a synopsis reads, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Thus far, the project has added Brian Van Holt of Jo vs. Carole and Nora Zehetner of The Right Stuff to its cast. Behind the scenes, Colin Bates and Vincent McDaniel are expected to produce the film. Rounding out the cast and crew, Asif Akbar of The Commando is reportedly set to direct the project.
Jackson, who is set to play Chief Carter in Boneyard, also has three other films reportedly lined up. The New York native is reportedly linked to The Expendables IV, Skill House and Free Agents. Not to be forgotten, he is still producing Power Book II: Ghost, BMF and Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
