This summer, Erykah Badu will embark on a 25-city tour with Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def. The tour is scheduled to begin on June 11, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. From there, the duo will make their way through San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and several other major cities. Ultimately, the tour will conclude in Erykah Badu’s hometown of Dallas, Texas on July 23, 2023.
“We’ve been working and touring together since the 2000s,” Erykah Badu said in an email to fans.
“We’re like minded. He’s one of my greatest friends.”
Erykah Badu has not toured often since she released New Amerykah Part Two in 2010. Since then, she has only headlined the Live From Badubotron Tour in 2021 and The Digging Crystals in Badubotron Tour in 2022. Meanwhile, Yasiin Bey has sparingly performed in the U.S. over the last decade.
