Actress Zazie Beetz snuck in a bit of news for fans of Atlanta on Sunday evening. During an interview with Desus Nice and The Kid Mero on Showtime, the New York native revealed that Donald Glover and company finished filming season three of the FX comedy.
“I have been shooting in Atlanta and I just came to hang out with y’all,” she said.
“We finished season three which we did in Europe and now we’re doing season four. We’re a week into shooting.”
The season two finale of Atlanta featured Brian Tyree Henry’s getting ready to tour in Europe for the first time alongside his manager, Earn, and best friend, Darius. Meanwhile, Beetz is left to raise her child alone while her father, Earn, is off attempting to build a better life for his kid.
FX has not indicated when Atlanta will return to the small screen, but fans are pulling for a return in late 2021 or early 2022. More information will emerge as the season three premiere nears.
