
On Thursday, January 2, 2025, Zachery Ty Bryan was booked at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The actor was charged with domestic violence in the second degree before being release on $10,000 bond one day later.
According to a report from TMZ, Bryan is accused of assaulting the mother of his child and threatening to kill her. At one point, the alleged victim tells police Bryan “put his arm around her neck and choked her … cutting off her breathing and making her fear for her life.” It is unclear what led to the dispute and if there were additional witnesses. However, the alleged victim reportedly sustained “injuries consistent with her story.”
The Home Improvement star has been arrested at least three times in the last five years. In 2020, Bryan was arrested and charged with strangulation and assault following a physical dispute in North Eugene, Oregon. Three years later, Bryan was arrested felony assault in violation of the Abuse Prevention Act in Oregon. He pled guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.
Bryan nor his attorney have issued a public statement regarding the arrest.
