Dillon Gabriel will make his way to Eugene, Oregon and join Dan Lanning at the University of Oregon.
Prior to joining Lanning in Eugene, Gabriel spent three seasons at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and two seasons at the University of Oregon. Along the way, he’s thrown for nearly 15,000 yards and 125 touchdowns while completing 63.1% of his passes.
In Eugene, Gabriel will fill the spot left vacant by Bo Nix. Nix led the Ducks to a record of 21-5 over two seasons while throwing for 7,738 yards and 69 touchdowns. With that said, Gabriel knows what it’s like to fill the shoes of a program-defining quarterback. In 2019, Gabriel stepped into the starting quarterback spot after McKenzie Milton led UCF to the Fiesta Bowl. Three years later, he filled the starting quarterback position at Oklahoma left vacant by Caleb Williams.
Gabriel and his new teammates in Eugene, Oregon will begin life without the leadership of Bo Nix. on August 24 in Manoa, Hawaii against the University of Hawaii.
