If it’s possible to turn a story about two new parents into an ominous horror story, then You has done it.
In the first trailer for season three of the Netflix series, we find Love Quinn and Joe Goldberg celebrating the birth of their first child together. Living in a quiet suburb away from distractions and temptations, the two look to be on the right track.
“For you, I’d move to some soulless suburb,” Joe says as he talks to his newborn son, Henry.
“For you, I’d marry the monster. Your mother, Love. What could go wrong?”
Exactly! Everything can go wrong. Before long, Joe is wrapping up a dead body and the new parents are in couple’s therapy. From there, all hell breaks loose and it appears that Love has a mean streak within her that we didn’t see before. Not to mention, it feels like she’s going to start using Joe to order hits on people. All in all, it looks like things are about to get wild.
Season three of You is set to premiere on October 15.
