
Over the last few months, Netflix has seen the success of a few unlikely series and films. First, Bird Box broke on to the scene as one of the most popular films on social media in recent memory. Then, Netflix picked up steam with the release of Sex Education. In addition, the streaming service picked up its first Oscar nomination for “Best Picture” with Roma. Most recently, their Fyre Festival documentary spawned one of the most uncomfortable comedic moments of the year thus far thanks to Andy King.

Among the many Netflix series to pick up steam over the last few weeks is You. Originally on Lifetime, the drama follows the unhealthy relationship between Guinevere Beck and her stalker boyfriend, Joe Goldberg. After an underwhelming premiere on Lifetime, the series moved on to Netflix where it gained popularity. Since premiering on Netflix, Lifetime has dropped the series and Netflix has picked it up for a new season. Today, the streaming service revealed some major details about the series.
On January 31st, Netflix decided to unveil a major casting development. Netflix took to Twitter to write, “The female lead [of You‘s second season] will be played by Nell from the Haunting of Hill House!” Netflix added, “She will play an aspiring chef called Love Quinn”.
The second season does not yet have a premiere date.
