Weeks after being selected first overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, highly-touted prospect Victor Wembanyama will hit the hardwood. The French phenom is expected to play with his San Antonio Spurs teammates in the 2023 NBA Summer League on July 7, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada at 9 p.m. EST. Tickets for Friday’s showcase have reportedly sold out, but the game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
Wembanyama is not the only highly-touted prospected to make his debut in the 2023 NBA Summer League this weekend. Selected with the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Alabama standout Brandon Miller is expected to share the court with Wembanyama on July 7 in the highly-anticipated Hornets-Spurs exhibition.
Elsewhere, third-overall pick Scoot Henderson will also have the opportunity to play against Wembanyama when the TrailBlazers play the Spurs on Sunday, July 9 at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN 2. Henderson and Wembanyama previously shared the court during an exhibition in Las Vegas last fall. The French prospect poured in 36 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out four assists in 37 minutes of action. Unfortunately, Henderson was limited to less than five minutes of action.
