Rainbow Six: Siege players, we finally have our first look at the next two operators coming in the Operation Black Ice DLC for February. There were rumors about an operator that specializes in “bear traps” and that rumor is now true. Thanks to a reddit user, who currently has beta access to the DLC, we now know the names and what both operators bring to the table.
First we have Frost, she is a defensive operator who’s specialty is a “welcome mat’. This mechanical trip will kill off all enemies, but its currently unknown how and where you can use this without your opponent seeing it. Frost will also bring in a few new weapons. Currently we can only see two guns that are equipped for her loadout: a Super 90 shotgun and Mk1 9mm pistol.
Secondly, we have Buck. Buck is an offensive operator and his specialty will be the Skeleton Key. Users will have the option between using Buck’s assault rifle and switching to his Skeleton Key attachment, which then turns the assault rifle into a short-ranged shotgun. The current weapons we can see for Buck are his C8-SWF assault rifle and Mk1 9mm pistol.
Operation Black Ice will be available as of February 2 for season pass holders and February 9 for those without. Each operator will cost 25k renown. Stay tuned for more on the Operation Black Ice Operators.
