Titans must have more than a few fans higher up at DC. The series was previously renewed for a second season before the first even aired. And now, according to the show’s official Twitter, it’s being renewed for a third before the second season has even wrapped up.

Titans offers a darker, more grounded look at the fan-favorite Teen Titans property than previous versions. It’s struck a chord with a very devoted, and growing, fan base even though it’s exclusive to DC’s DC Universe streaming platform. The company has found success with other darker shows such as Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing (though the latter was canceled during its first season due to high production costs.)
The series has introduced some interesting versions of popular characters while remaining true to their existing legacies in the comics. This current season has seen the introduction of Bruce Wayne, played by Game of Thrones‘ Iain Glen as well as Conner Kent, aka Superboy. Season three is likely to expand the show’s growing roster even more. Especially since Dick Grayson is set to make his transition from Robin to Nightwing before the end of season two, expanding the show’s mythos even further.
Titans still has three episodes left in season two, which drop every Friday exclusively on DC Universe. Season three is slated to begin airing sometime during next fall.
