With eSports becoming so huge so quickly, The CW is looking to step in and help grow the competitive gaming circuit. Next month The CW will be host to Machinama’s “Chasing The Cup” Mortal Kombat X tournament. The tournament will be held on Monday, February 15th and will air live at 8pm EST.
Before the tournament goes live on February 15th, The CW and Machinama will come together for a mini-docu series for Chasing The Cup. There are five videos streaming on CW Seed, which cover the first five rounds of the tournament.
Hopefully, if this tournament goes well on The CW, we can have more eSports tournaments on cable TV.
