There will be a fourth season of Sex Education at Netflix. Unfortunately, actress Tanya Reynolds will not appear in it. Reynolds shared the unfortunate news during a recent interview with Radio Times.
“I’m not [returning], actually, which is sad, very sad,” Reynolds explained.
“It’s just the natural progression of these shows – when you have such big ensemble casts and so many characters, I think you have to let a few older characters go to make way for newer ones, which is absolutely the right thing, the way it should happen.”
Reynolds is not the only character exiting the popular series. Her co-star, Patricia Allison, will also exit the series after three seasons.
“I won’t be joining the team for season 4,” she told Capital Xtra Breakfast last week.
“I absolutely have loved my time on Sex Education, and I’m so sorry to have to break that to you guys.”
To complete the list of Sex Education departures, Simone Ashley will also be cutting ties with the series after three successful runs. Instead, she will shift her focus to another Netflix series, Bridgerton.
At this time, it is unclear when the fourth season of Sex Education will air.
