For the third week in a row, SZA has climbed to the top of the Billboard 200 chart. In its third week, her sophomore studio album, S.O.S, has sat atop the charts after moving approximately 128,000 units. S.O.S is the first R&B album released by a woman to sit atop the charts for three straight weeks since Beyoncé did so in 2013.
SZA is not alone on the Billboard 200 chart. Sitting in second place, Taylor Swift’s Midnights has moved 106,000 equivalent album units this week. In fourth place, Metro Boomin’ sits after moving 58,000 units of Heroes & Villains. Not far behind, Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss places sixth this week. One month after its release, the duo’s joint project moved 50,000 units. Right behind Her Loss, Bad Bunny climbs back up to seventh after moving 48,000 units of Un Verano Sin Ti.
Heading into the following week, SZA and Taylor Swift will have competition from NBA Youngboy. The Louisiana native plans to release I Rest My Case this month. In addition, French Montana, Iggy Pop and RuPaul are planning to put out projects in the near future.
