With the release of Street Fighter V right around the corner, Capcom has some very good news for fans. This summer, specifically June, there will be a free expansion for Street Fighter V. Before we get into that, Capcom has unveiled details on the Character Story mode. With the character story mode, players — both old and new — will be presented with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with each character as they all will have their own in-depth story. Each story will give the characters backgrounds and what drives them to fighting.
For the expansion coming in June, players will experience a cinematic story mode. The story will take place in between the events of Street Fighter III & IV and will “explain everything that transpired in that electrifying time period”. This story mode will feature full fledged cut-scenes and delve deep into the mythology of Street Fighter. Bison and Shadaloo will be the main focus of the cinematic story mode.
Also, Capcom has announced one final beta mode before release. Players will be able to jump in on SFV this weekend, January 30 at 12:01 AM PT (8:01 AM GMT), and ending January 31 at 7 PM PT (February 1 at 3 AM GMT).
Stay tuned for more upcoming details on the June expansion. Check out the Street Fighter V Cinematic story trailer above.
