Former NBA MVP Stephen Curry is not only offering assists on the court, but he’s also assisting a new generation of storytellers within the world of entertainment. Through his production company, Unanimous Media, Curry is launching Pathways Alliance, an initiative aimed at boosting diverse voices in podcasting, television and film.
“Stephen and I wanted to launch an initiative where we could work with authors to not just option their material but wholly invest in them. By tapping into our relationships and partnerships, we are able to amplify these authors and create a platform for their ideas to be developed and heard,” Unanimous Media Chief Creative Officer Erick Peyton said.
Over the course of eighteen months, Unanimous Media will partner with talented authors to create content across a variety of mediums. Thus far, Curry’s imprint has already locked in deals with authors Wes Moore and Cole Brown.
“I am thrilled to be selected as the inaugural member of Pathways Alliance. Stories promote action, and at a time where storytelling and content creation is more important than ever before, I am honored to work with a team that is committed to making the world stronger one platform at a time,” Moore told Deadline.
