The sport of boxing is seemingly hitting its stride as the summer nears. Through the first 17 weeks of the year, fans have enjoyed watching Caleb Plant battle David Benavidez, Anthony Yarde challenge Artur Beterbiev and Shakur Stevenson make his debut at lightweight. To top it all off, Gervonta “Tank” Davis bested Ryan Garcia in a battle of unbeaten. Moving forward, Teofimo Lopez is set to fight Josh Taylor, Devin Haney is preparing to battle Vasyl Lomachenko and Stephen Fulton Jr. is heading to Japan to meet Naoya Inoue. With all of that going on, fans have cautiously put a bit of hope into a major night of fights that could take place in December.
Saudi Arabia is currently trying to make Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford, to be on the undercard of Fury vs Usyk and Joshua vs Wilder. It will be one of the greatest cards of all time in December!

Multiple outlets have reported that a number of wealthy investors in the Middle East are interested in putting together what could be the biggest night in boxing since the turn of the century. A proposed fight card could include Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, Deontay Wilder vs. Anthony Joshua and Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford. Joshua has hinted that this could be in play, but Crawford nor Spence Jr. have commented on these rumors just yet. However, Errol Spence Jr. did sit down with his longtime girlfriend on her show, On The Rocks with AO, to talk about fatherhood, the two car crashes he’s survived and much more. Along the way, they discussed the possibility of a fight with Terence Crawford. Without revealing all too much, he said that negotiations are going “very well” for a potential welterweight title bout.
“Me and Crawford are definitely in talks. We’ve definitely been talking, so hopefully it can be me and him,” he said.
“Definitely. Me and Crawford have been talking directly. We’ve been on the phone maybe…40 minutes or 30 minutes. We probably spent maybe 15 minutes talking about the negotiation part and stuff like that. We’ll just talk and get a feel for each other. We’ll talk about our families, current situations we’ve got going on and stuff like that. Then, we’ll start talking about boxing, fighting, negotiations and things like that. It went well and our teams are still negotiating. We’re still having talks. It’s going very well.”
