It appears that we have found our latest verbal back and forth within Rap. Just over a week ago, Generation Now’s Jack Harlow returned to release his third studio album, Jackman. Much of the album touched on his relationship with his young brother, letting go of old friends and reflecting on how his life has changed over the last three years. However, he did save a bar or two to declare himself the best white rapper since Eminem.
“Ya boy’s strivin’ to be the most dominant ever / The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters / And hold the comments ‘cause I promise you I’m honestly better than whoever came to your head right then,” he rapped on “They Don’t Love It.”
After hearing Harlow’s declaration, Machine Gun Kelly hopped on Eminem and Jay-Z’s “Renegade” beat and seemingly replied to the Louisville native.
“I see why they call you Jackman. You jacked man’s whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man,” the Ohio native rapped.
It didn’t take long for social media users to take the clip and share it around multiple platforms.
“MGK turns into Rakim when it’s time to diss a white rapper,” Kazeem Famuyide of MSG Networks tweeted.
“MGK beefed with G-Eazy, Eminem and now, Jack Harlow. That boy wants to destroy every white rapper in his way,” Audiomack curator Ahmed chimed in.
“Don’t know why MGK wants to get bodied twice, but this is a good opportunity for Jack Harlow to show his skill and further solidify himself,” another Twitter user added.
Harlow hasn’t responded just yet, but a new song could be on the way in the future. Until then, Machine Gun Kelly’s “Renegade” freestyle is available below.
