Former Minnesota Golden Gophers junior forward Jamison Battle has announced that he will transfer to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Battle, a top player for the Golden Gophers has decided to stay in the Big Ten and will play for the Buckeyes. This will shake up both teams for next season with Minnesota looking to replace one of their best players, while Ohio State adds some serious firepower. The Buckeyes caught on a little too late last season and missed the 2023 NCAA Tournament. They will be looking for a different outcome during the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Significant Big Ten News.

This past season as a junior for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Jamison Battle averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 37.1 percent and a three-point percentage of 31.1 percent. This was arguably his worst season in college basketball and perhaps he is just looking for a change after the down season. Battle has proved he can be a top option in the Big Ten and will want to do that again next season. Ohio State is also looking to perform better in the 2023-24 college basketball season, so perhaps this is a perfect pairing for the upcoming college basketball season.
