R&B wins yet again! Less than a month after Shelley FKA DRAM delivered his latest project, Sinéad Harnett is here to release her sophomore album. The Los Angeles-based songstress has tapped in with EARTHGANG, Lucky Daye, Masego and VanJess for her latest work, Ready Is Always Too Late.
“I used to use ‘ready’ as an excuse. ‘I’ll do that task when I’m ready, I’ll love myself when I’m ready, I’ll go for that thing I’ve always dreamed of when I’m ready.’ And with men in the past or ‘wastemen’ as some might say, I was often told ‘You know, I’ll commit to you when I’m ready, but, we’re not really there yet let’s wait till we’re ready.’ And the continual thought I would have towards those guys and towards myself was ‘B*tch, why aren’t you ready for me now,'” she wrote about the inspiration for the project.
“This album is a celebration of being ready to be the best versions of ourselves & accepting greatness only, whatever that looks like. I’ve learned my lessons in love, now it’s time for me to do the damn thing and own it. Ready is always too late. The time is now baby.”
