Cautious Clay is in album mode. The rising singer-songwriter has just released a new track called “Wildfire” from his upcoming album, Deadpan Love.
“Deadpan Love explores the ways I cope with the worst of what humanity has to offer,” Cautious Clay said about the project.
“It’s about opposites—having an outer layer that’s tougher, this “deadpan” state, and an inner layer of compassion, where you’re open to being there for the people you care about. It’s this warring compassion and cynicism that has empowered me to express myself through this medium.”
“Wildfire” is the first insight into what fans can expect to hear from the upcoming LP. It will also feature contributions from Saba, Daniel Nigro, Jesse Shatkin, Ammar Malik, Sir Nolan and Tobias Jesso Jr. Deadpan Love is set to appear on your favorite streaming service on June 25, but until then you can enjoy “Wildfire” below.
