COVID-19 has struck NBC’s to morning show yet again. Earlier this week, Savannah Guthrie of the TODAY Show has tested positive for COVID-19. However, she will continue to perform her journalistic duties from home as she recovers. Fortunately, she is only experiencing “little sniffles” at the moment.
“We’re trading places,” Guthrie told her co-host Hoda Kotb on Monday.
“I’m working from home. You’re back in the studio. You have a negative test for COVID. I just tested positive for COVID, so here we go.”
Before jumping into the show, Guthrie let fans know a little bit more about how she’s dealing with the virus.
“[I’m experiencing] little sniffles and not much more than that,” she explained.
“I feel good. Feel really good. Just a couple days at home and I’m sure I’ll be back in the saddle soon.”
Guthrie is far from the only NBC on-air personality to be sidelined due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent weeks, Kotb, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon have all tested Positive For COVID-19. Fortunately, all three have seemingly recovered and returned to work.
