The pièce de résistance of Kith and Colette’s collaborative collection is a duo of Puma trainers designed in partnership with Ronnie Fieg. The Blaze of Glory and the Disc Blaze both receive premium executions, as well as silhouette alterations by Fieg. Both models are dressed in Colette’s iconic blue hue, which acts as the main theme throughout the collection.
The Blaze of Glory is equipped with an added forefoot strap that features asymmetrical branding, with Kith on the right side and Colette on the left. The upper is crafted using high quality oily nubuck in Colette-blue and subtle white reflective panels. The heels also display debossed Colette and Ronnie Fieg branding. Lastly, the sock-like constructed upper sits atop a solid white Trinomic midsole unit.
Fieg’s signature Disc Blaze features a reconstructed vamp for a more streamlined appearance. The toes are dipped in Colette-blue and are made of pigskin suede. The remainder of the upper is a light grey wrinkled leather covered by a white and translucent Disc harness with co-branded white leather pulls. The formstripes are asymmetrical, as the medial side is made using white reflective leather. This tri-colored upper is paired with a gradient Trinomic midsole unit with speckle detailing.
Both models also feature custom-printed leather footbeds which are a nod to Kith’s first foray in Paris back in 2014, when Fieg and Puma released the COA Disc Blazes. Packaging is also custom, and is coated in Colette’s logo and trademark color.
Both Ronnie Fieg x Colette x Puma’s will release in-store at Colette on Wednesday, June 15, followed by a release at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, andKithNYC.com at 11AM EST. Both pairs will retail for $160 USD.
