Synonymous with the Holiday Season, the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cool Grey” continues an annual tradition that many of us have grown to anticipate.
Each year sneaker enthusiasts look forward to the Holidays for the annual Air Jordan 11 Retro expected to drop. Hopes for an OG colorway spread throughout social media alike and blog sites in anticipation of Jordan Brand listening to fans.
The “Cool Grey” is finally set to make a return. Thank you Jordan Brand for listening to the masses.
Looking to release this December 2021, the last time we saw the popular colorway was back in 2010. The Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cool Grey” is highly coveted and that says a lot considering it is a non-original colorway for this silhouette. Most enthusiasts frown upon non-OG colorways or releases that Michael Jordan himself did not wear.
Originally released in March 2001, Michael Jordan did lace these up during his stint with the Washington Wizards. Whether you want to remember this moment in time or not, it actually happened. He was an All-Star just throwing that out there.
Feeling old yet? Well, the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cool Grey” is turning 20-years old. Even more of a reason to add these to your collection, history at its best. Celebrating the 20th anniversary is a big deal with Jordan Brand as it has been for past releases.
The 2021 “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11 features several noticeable differences compared to its predecessor the 2010 iteration and of course the originator, 2001. The packing for the 2021 release features a two-tone grey, OG-style box. The 2010 packaging saw the recognizable pull-out box.
High cut patent leather for this release is what separates itself from the last release but taps into the DNA of the OG. Lastly a blue icy outsole puts a finishing touch on an undeniable classic.
An impressive lineage for the AJ11 has seen popular colorways return like; “Space Jam”, “Concord”, and “Bred” with new iterations like “Win Like 82” & “Win Like 96”. Continuing to grow its line, doubling back to older colorways bridges the gap between the newer generation and “old heads”. Sharing in those timeless moments is really what sneaker culture is all about.
While there was an early release on November 15th, these are officially slated to drop Saturday, December 11th for the retail price of $225.
The “Cool Grey” AJ11 will be released in a full family-size run. Men, women and children get to indulge in this Holiday release. You can get more Jordan 11 Cool Grey 2021 release info over at GOAT.
