
Prime Video is stepping into the daily sports talk show realm. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post has reported that the video streaming service will roll out a slate of daily sports talk shows beginning in November featuring emerging and established talent.
According to Awful Announcing, the daily schedule will begin at 8 a.m. with Bonjour Sports Talk hosted by Madelyn Burke and Ben Lyons followed by a replay. At noon, The Cari Champion Show will air with the former SportsCenter anchor. Throughout the afternoon, Eitan Levine and Drexton Clemons will host Sports Talk Game Breakers before Master Tesfatsion leads From the Desk of Master T. In the evening, Rennae Stubbs will host The Power Hour before The Greatest Hour of All-Time airs the day’s best highlights. Things will wrap up on Prime Video at 7 p.m. as Hana Ostapchuk and Jason Spells host The Backup Plan.
“We think there is an opportunity for new emerging voices and a positive, uplifting take on sports,” Marie Donoghue of Amazon told the New York Post.
“We are dipping our toe. We’re testing and learning, but we are very excited about it.”
Prime Video has been aggressive as it enters the sports content space. Not only is the video platform airing weekly NFL games, but the streaming service is also partnering with LeBron James and Uninterrupted to offer an alternate stream of Thursday Night Football. Also, Overtime Elite will air games on Prime Video each weekend.
