Nearly five years have passed since Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor passed away at the age of 45. While the legendary MC is no longer here to bless the world of music with his presence, his legacy continues to live on through his children, late wife, relatives, friends and the iconic group, A Tribe Called Quest. Next week, a new chapter of the Five-Foot Assassin’s legacy will begin. Through his official Instagram account, Phife Dawg’s family and close musical collaborators have announced that his first posthumous album, Forever, will arrive later this month.
“This has been a long time coming,” the Instagram caption reads.
“Finally, on March 22, 2022 we release Phife ‘Forever’, the album to the world. For now, enjoy the cover art work and the track listing/credits. Longer caption on album drop date.”
The 13-track project will include contributions from De La Soul, Little Brother, Redman, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Rhapsody and many others. Not to mention, DJ Rasta Root serves as the co-executive produce alongside the late, great Phife Dawg. Check out the full track list and album cover below.
