Pau Gasol, a two-time NBA champion and one of the greatest international players in league history, is reported to be the latest free agent on the move. As reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Gasol is joining the Portland Trail Blazers on a one-year deal.

Gasol began last season as a member of the San Antonio Spurs, but ended up being bought out by the Spurs and landing on the roster of the Milwaukee Bucks. Gasol’s tenure on the Bucks was marred by injury, as the former six-time all-star featured in only 3 games, averaging 1.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in each appearance.
Pau Gasol will join a team in Portland that is coming off a Western Conference Finals appearance last season, ultimately being swept by the Golden State Warriors. Gasol will look to lend his experience and depth to the Blazers’ roster which currently featured the newly acquired Hassan Whiteside, Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic when he returns from the injury that prematurely ended his season last year.
