The former 23rd pick overall of the 2017 NBA Draft, has been having his best season in the league yet. He’s one of the building blocks of the new-era Raptors with his two-way ability. He is the team’s fourth-leading scorer with 17.5 points, a career-high, and also averaging 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
If Anunoby comes back after this resting time, he would be prepared for the final stretch of the regular season. The Raptors are moving up in the Eastern Conference and, currently, hold the seventh seed, They are only one game and a half from the Celtics and owning a secured spot in the playoffs.
