Fans will have to improve their patience if they hope to enjoy Disney+’s upcoming series, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Earlier today, the growing streaming platform announced that the show’ release date was pushed back from May 25, 2022 and rescheduled for May 27, 2022. However, there is good news. Instead of sharing one new episode on May 25, 2022, the streaming platform will now share the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The latest series at Disney+ will feature Ewan McGregor as the younger Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. O’Shea Jackson Jr., Kumail Nanjiani, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will also star in the series. Behind the scenes, Deborah Chow of The Mandalorian will direct the first season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Delaying the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi sets up a major streaming battle between two of the most highly anticipated series of the late Spring. As mentioned previously, Obi-Wan Kenobi will debut on May 27, 2022 on Disney+. Over on Netflix, the fourth season of Stranger Things will also debut on May 27, 2022.
