Continuing to be the innovators that they set out to be with all their new approaches on classic footwear to fit in with today’s modern style, NikeLab has introduced a second colorway for the upcoming NikeLab Roshe Cortez. The first pair we looked at was one very familar to many as it resonated with the classic Forrest Gump movie.
This black/white pair is another original which is sure to suit the likings of a sneaker enthusiast with some years under his belt.
Check out the official NikeLab unveiling and let us know down in the comments if these will be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
Introduced in the mid-1960s, the Nike Cortez was first designed by legendary Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman, with insights directly from his long-distance running pupils. Now, it’s reconstructed with Roshe One natural motion tooling for an updated take on a lifestyle legend.
The latest Cortez iteration finds itself at the intersection of heritage and hybrid design, blending iconic design lines with modern updates, including premium leather, natural motion tooling, and vintage-treated accents.
True to form, the iconic design is dressed in an original Cortez colorway. Updates include a leather heel tab, a rubber toe guard, and a vintage-treated tongue for classic style.
Available June 18 at nike.com/nikelab and select #NikeLab destinations worldwide.
