It looks like a new colorway was released for the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon which will now bring us to a grand total of 4. We have seen this new silhouette of Kobe’s to release in Black, Red, and Gold but now the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon ‘Metallic Silver’. Interesting enough, now that I know the backstory to this new silhouette and what inspired it, I see the vision and for what it is worth I like the shoe more with the shroud zipped down. The folks at Nike actually gave us a brief history lesson on this silhouette and the inspiration comes from the Nike Air Up which was a sneaker associated with Penny Hardaway, the Nike Air Max CB34 which is Charles Barkley’s shoe and lastly the obvious, Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight 98. Now not to mention the sole has the tooling of the Nike Kobe 4, so yeah this sneaker is packed with inspiration.
The Nike Zoom Kobe Icon ‘Metallic Silver’ is available now on Nike.com and select retailers so go get them now.
