The forces behind the Nike Dunk High x ‘Caroline’ collaboration, Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Paranorman’ and the friends and family Nike Air Raid II ‘Paranorman’ are back with a new collaboration. Powered by Nike and the animated film company LAIKA, we are set to receive another iteration in their lineage of collaborations.
Taking the Air Jordan 15 Retro which is slated to make its big return this year, the folks at Swoosh and LAIKA will be using the upcoming film ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ as its inspiration.
As we know LAIKA is own by Phil Knight and the film is actually directed by Knight’s son Travis Knight. The upcoming Kubos and the Two Strings film follows a young boy by the name of Kubos on a journey for a magical armor that was worn by his father to defeat a spirit from the past.
Look for there to be a total of 300 pairs of the Kubo and the Two Strings x Air Jordan 15. The Just Keep Livin Foundation (www.jklivinfoundation.org) will host a live eBay auction taking place this August 8th which is just days after the official unveiling will take place (August 4th).
Next chance to own a pair of the 15s will be August 11th. Gamers will be able to play as Kubo to battle the Moon Beast in a game available online at the official Kubo and the Two Strings website www.kubothemovie.com. The top 250 scorers win a pair.
