If you haven’t caught on to the trend by now then you obviously aren’t paying attention. The 2016 Olympics is almost here as it will be held in Rio, I am sure you knew this much. Well to coincide with the event, Nike looks to be issuing an all out ‘Olympics’ inspired onslaught of sneaker releases. So far we have the Nike Air Foamposite One, Air Jordan 7 Retro, Nike Air More Uptempo and Nike Zoom Flight 96 all set to drop in their own respective ‘Olympics’ colorway. Not to mention the Nike LeBron 13 Low and Nike KD 9 joining in the fun for the Summer event for the best athletes in the world. There has now been word that the Nike Air Force 180 ‘Olympics’ is returning again to really make things interesting. Now personally these are a sleep and were a sleeper back in 2012 when we received all those ‘Olympics’ inspired sneakers for the last Olympic games. The sneakers have a historic meaning behind them as they were worn by Charles Barkley for the ’92 Olympics and ’96 Olympics, both with unbeaten records. For me, sneakers that have a storyline behind resonate more because I feel I have a piece of history in my closet and on my feet.
Anyway, the Nike Air Force 180 ‘Olympics’ are set to return this July 7th and with the picture up above you have a real good idea of what to expect for 2016 consider that is not the ’16 version. Those pictures have yet to be provided but we will keep you guys in the loop. In the meantime let us know down in the comments your thoughts, will they be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
