Head Coach Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks have landed 2022 top ten recruit and top three combo guard Nick Smith. This is a top pickup for an Arkansas program that has seen new life under the careful eye of Head Coach Eric Musselman. Nick Smith committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, and Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions. Smith is a dynamic guard that should easily find himself near the top of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Nick Smith is almost certainly a “one and done” prospect, but landing recruits like him are a must for programs hoping to be elite. He is also from the state of Arkansas, so the program could ill afford to lose out on his commitment. Smith is the 9th ranked prospect, third-ranked combo guard, and top Arkansas prospect in the recruiting class of 2022. A historic program like Arkansas, which has seen plenty of bad years, needs a prospect like this.

Nick Smith is the top recruit of the class, but the program also has three other top 100 recruits in 2022. Four-star recruits Derrian Ford, Barry Dunning, and Joseph Pinion will all be joining Smith in the Fall of 2022 at Arkansas.
