Netflix has renewed the reality competition series, Floor Is Lava, for a second season. As reported by Variety, the series will bring back host Rutledge Wood as contestants try to get from one end of the room to the next as they avoid falling in lava.
Floor Is Lava is one of the many shows that experienced success during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the streaming outlet, 37 million viewers tuned in to watch the show after it debuted in June. This success lands it alongside a growing slate of reality shows on Netflix.
Netflix’s lead reality series, The Circle, is currently in the second week of its four-week rollout for season two. In the second quarter, Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind are set to return to the streaming platform. Floor Is Lava could return during the second quarter or wait until the fall and winter.
Reality shows are not the only things being renewed at Netflix. The streaming giant has also renewed Cobra Kai, The Witcher and You for new seasons. Not to mention, Bridgerton has been renewed for three more seasons.
