There are few South African artists making the type of noise that Nasty C is making at the moment. Whether he’s making history at the MTV EMAs or meeting up with Rick Ross, the South African artist is continuing to elevate one song at a time. Wrapping up the month of November, he has tapped in with DJ Khalil to produce a new track called “No Big Deal.” Over the course of four minutes and 20 seconds, he takes time to address issues with the likes of Sarkodie and A-Reece.
“When I first met Sarkodie, he wouldn’t shake my hand. Cool…I’m not too proud to say that I’m still a fan. But I held a grudge and told myself to wait until I’m the man. I’ll never give that man a verse and boy, did I stick to my plan,” he raps.
“Two requests over the years and I declined them both. I just made some dumb excuse like, ‘I’m in album mode.’ But looking on that today, I was in coward mode.”
Summer Walker, Rick Ross and DJ Snake are just a few of the artists to give their blessing to the rising artist. Coming out of South Africa, Nasty C aims to use his honesty and expression to bring his story to the world. The next chapter, “No Big Deal,” is available below.
