Megan Thee Stallion is hoping that Gabrielle Union and company are looking to bring back the Bring It On franchise for one more film. During a recent interview with New York Magazine, the Grammy Award winner shared her hopes for a potential Bring It On revival.
“I always have wanted to be Isis,” she told the publication.
“I would be perfect for that. If they were ever to make a new Bring It On, I should be that character.”
While there may not be any plans to bring back Bring It On in the near future, Megan Thee Stallion has found her way into Hollywood. Most recently, she landed a guest role in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. In addition, she is set to appear in A24’s F*cking Identical Twins and Malcolm D. Lee’s Best Man Wedding. The chart-topping star cites Ice Cube and Queen Latifah as the inspiration for her recent foray into acting.
“When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” she explained.
“I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director, and I’m also going to be a producer.”
Megan Thee Stallion is not losing sight of her bread and butter either. The Houston native recently shared her sophomore studio LP, Traumazine. The 18-track project moved more than 60,000 units in its first week and landed at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. As she works through turmoil with her label, it remains unclear when or if she will head out on tour.
