A few more names will be etched into Hollywood history this year. Variety has reported that The Jonas Brothers, Ludacris, Mindy Kailing, Kenny Kravitz and Irving Azoff are among those set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year. Additional honorees include Marc Anthony, Martin Lawrence, Lang Lang, Melba Moore, Pentatonix, Blake Shelton and Charlie Wilson. Rounding out the class of star recipients, Juanita Moore and Paul Walker will be posthumously honored.
For many, it may be surprising to learn that Martin Lawrence and Charlie Wilson didn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame until now. After receiving a list of potential honorees, star recipients are chosen by a committee of celebrities who have previously secured their own star. Then, the Chamber’s Walk of Fame selection panel chairwoman, Ellen K, shares the final list of recipients with the public.
“The panel thoughtfully selected these talented individuals, and we can’t wait to celebrate them as they become part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway,” Ellen K told Variety.
Ceremony dates have not been set for this class of recipients.
