Maya Jama is reportedly stepping away from her on-air duties with DAZN. According to a recent report from talkSPORT‘s Michael Benson, Jama is parting ways with the streaming provider because her schedule is “so busy [that] she found it hard to commit to the channel.”
In recent months, Maya Jama has slowly distanced herself from the network and moved on to other endeavors. While there are no reports of a rift between herself and the network, it does appear that she will be more selective in choosing her next on-air roles.
“[I’ve] worked hard enough to only take jobs on that make me feel good inside, If it doesn’t bring me joy or help others I’m not involved. This next chapter [of my life] is called enjoyment,” she tweeted in November.
As Maya Jama moves on to her next professional opportunity, DAZN will move closer to its late spring and early summer schedule. Most recently, the streaming provider broadcasted fights featuring welterweight prospect Conor Benn and junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner. Moving forward, DAZN is set to offer its first pay-per-view card featuring Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol.
