Oral Roberts Golden Eagles star guard Max Abmas has announced that he has entered the transfer portal and will play elsewhere next season. After playing for the Golden Eagles for four seasons, he will use his fifth year of eligibility with another program. Players were granted an extra year of eligibility due to the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. Abmas has been a mid-major star for Oral Roberts and will be getting plenty of high-major interest from programs for his final college basketball season in the Fall.

This past season as a senior with the Oral Robers Golden Eagles, Max Abmas averaged 21.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 43.6 percent and a three-point percentage of 37.3 percent. Abmas took the Golden Eagles to new rights and lef them to more than one NCAA Tournament. With this move to a high-major he is likely hoping to cash in on a more lucrative NIL deal and get more pro ball looks on him in his final college basketball season. Abmas is a very good college basketball player and will have plenty of programs calling him this offseason.
