TCU Horned Frogs big man Eddie Lampkin Jr has announced that he is transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes for next season. This comes after he stepped away from the team before the 2023 NCAA Tournament to focus on his mental health. When Lampkin entered the transfer portal in the offseason he accused Head Coach Jamie Dixon of mistreating him while he was with the Horned Frogs program. He joins a Colorado Buffaloes program that keeps most of their talent and adds a bonafide “one and done” five-star along with Lampkin Jr.

This past season with the TCU Horned Frogs, Eddie Lampkin Jr is averaging 6.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He has paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 54.7 percent and a free throw percentage of 55.8 percent. Lampkin Jr is a redshirt sophomore and will be able to play for at least two more seasons. Colorado is looking to compete for the 2023-24 PAC-12 Championship. The amount of talent they will have on the roster next year should make them a favorite to do just that. Lampkin Jr will look for a fresh start while with Colorado. The allegations against TCU are not under investigation at this time.
