Baylor Bears junior guard LJ Cryer has announced that he is entering the transfer portal and will play elsewhere next season. This comes as a bit of a surprise for the Bears who have used Cryer as a key rotational player for two of his three seasons with the program. Cryer will get plenty of high major interest and should be one of the hotter names this offseason in the college basketball transfer portal. He has two years left of eligibility left should he decide to use his COVID year of eligibility after the 2023-24 college basketball season.

This past season with the Baylor Bears, LJ Cryer averaged 15.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and two assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 45.3 percent and a three-point percentage of 41.5 percent. Cryer shoots and scores very well and that is the name of the game in modern basketball. There will be a long list of teams in the NCAA this offseason that show interest in the junior guard. Leaving Baylor was likely a hard decision for the guard, but now he can seek out a new opportunity in college basketball. With the way he shoots the ball, he will hope to find a team that can help him get to the NBA in the future.
