The Phoenix Suns are literally going all in. They have decided to literally dump their players just to pay for a decent starting 5. Now the Suns recently got Tyson Chandler, which was a good find. But doesn’t make them contenders. They want LaMarcus Aldridge. Now I didn’t have Aldridge even thinking about Phoenix. But with the moves that the Suns just made, he must be feeling real special right now.
Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski has reported the news of Phoenix trading Marcus Morris, Danny Granger and Reggie Bullock to the Detroit Pistons, all for a 2nd round pick in the 2020 Draft. This is all to make room to sign LaMarcus. But as Woj reports, they still need to do more.

The Suns have cleared $20M in salary cap space, allowing them to potentially sign LaMarcus Aldridge without the need for a sign-and-trade.

Now. The Suns are risking their short-term and long-term future, ALL for LaMarcus Aldridge. This is a stupid risk and whoever in the Suns organization that suggested this should be fired. They traded three players for a draft pick, and they STILL aren’t at the required cap space to get Aldridge. How can you put all your hopes on this?! And they don’t even know if Aldridge will go there or not!
Suns have no assurance that Aldridge will sign, but the fact that he’s suddenly so intrigued has motivated them to push hard.

LaMarcus Aldridge is considering the possibility of taking a visit or two in free agency, sources tell Yahoo. No decision is imminent.

I’d hate to be a Suns fan right now, because they’ve put all their hopes on him coming and he’s still going to meetings with other teams.
