Head Coach Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils have landed the commitment of 2023 top three recruit and number one small forward Mackenzie Mgbako. The Duke 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes are now jammed full of talent with this perhaps being their best recruit in those two classes. Mgbako is a legit “one and done” prospect and will declare for the 2024 NBA Draft after spending a year playing in the ACC. Duke currently has the number one recruiting class in 2022 and 2023.
No. 3-ranked junior Mackenzie Mgbako just announced his commitment to Duke — giving the Blue Devils five five-star prospects in the 2023 class. Of the top nine players committed in the junior class, five are headed to Durham.

Mackenzie Mgbako is a talented five-star, but he isn’t the only one headed to Duke from the 2023 recruiting class. He will be joining top 15 point guard Caleb Foster, top 20 combo guard Tyrese Proctor, top 25 shooting guard Jared McCain, and top 30 power forward Sean Stewart. It is hard to say if anyone else will be joining because of the shakeup of rosters in college, but this may likely be the last big-name Duke lands in these two classes. They do still have offers out to recruits though.
Mackenzie Mgbako has committed to Duke. My favorite player to watch in the Class of 2023.
Blue Devils now loaded in Class of 2022 and 2023.
Jon Scheyer can just go to the beach this summer.

There are already many players in the NBA that went to college at Duke, but the next three drafts at least will add several more big names from the Blue Devils. Mackenzie Mgbako will be one of those players in a few years. Head Coach Jon Scheyer will have the players to compete early in his career.
