Following Saturday night’s 115-101 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers players were involved in a postgame locker room confrontation with Head Coach Luke Walton, per various reports.
As uncertainty surrounds Lakers into deadline week, several veterans — including Michael Beasley — had an emotionally-charged verbal exchange with head coach Luke Walton postgame tonight, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium. It stopped short of turning physical.

The two names which have been consistent throughout the reports of the postgame incident are forward Michael Beasley and center Javale McGee, both of whom signed with the Lakers as free agents this past offseason following the acquisition of LeBron James. One name that was circulating in initial reports, but since has been mostly retracted, is that of forward Lance Stephenson.
JaVale McGee and Michael Beasley were indeed involved in the postgame dust-up with Luke Walton, but a source tells me Lance Stephenson was not part of it.

The Lakers are in the midst of uncertain times in their franchise, with this incident being the latest in a series of news coming out of Los Angeles. The Lakers are currently believed to be the most like trade partner with the New Orleans Pelicans following Anthony Davis’ trade request, and recently regained LeBron James following a groin injury.
The Lakers suffered a setback from their early season success following James’ injury and currently sit 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 27-26.
