The folks over at the Singapore based sneaker boutique are not releasing just 1 collaboration with the Reebok Pump for their 25th anniversary, we have word of a second now.
LimitEDitions x Reebok Pump 25 will get a double dose, a second offering is prepared to release, with the first having already done so this past Saturday. We look for an immediate follow up with this new colorway scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, November 22nd.
As a New York native this pair looks heavily Knicks inspired but according to HB the inspiration behind these is as followed;
late ’80s when the Reebok Pump was first released, this rendition features a neoprene upper that recreates the effect of the Spandex trend that was very much alive and well during that period, as well as delivering more of a glove-like customized fit. Limited Edt also incorporates design cues taken from its futuristic Hall of Fame store, namely the silver midsole, chrome accents and reflective 3M details on the forefoot and tongue. Additionally, the royal blue base and orange accents can be traced back to the color scheme of the boutique’s logo and member lounge. PlayDry lining lends its moisture-wicking properties while the Limited Edt logo on the insole draws to mind comparisons with the store’s lounge carpet. Finally, the “JAM” acronym on the forefoot represents the names of the shoe’s designers — Jonning, Alvin and Mandeep.
