First things first, congratulations again LeBron James on signing a lifetime Nike deal. The take away from all of this is that Bron certainly deserves all that he has earned and it also puts his kids and family in a great financial situation as their lives go on. Can never be mad another person winning in life.
Secondly, in this video posted by LeBron James courtesy of Bleacher Report we get access to James’ sneaker closet. Now I don’t know about you guys but it is always kind of dope to get an inside look at certain celebrities sneaker closet, LeBron being one. In this closet of course he has an array of Nike LeBron’s but it was the fact he spoke on having Jordan’s, Penny’s and other sneakers of that sort which should strike the interest of others.
As he even said;
“For a kid growing up, seeing kids walk around with Jordans and Barkleys and Pennies and Pippens. I thought that was the greatest thing – Griffeys – I thought that was the greatest thing ever. And I was that kid too.”
Throughout the video you can see how genuinely happy he is to be sharing this news which broke and made headlines yesterday. I would still be in shock over such a deal myself considering the figures are reported to be well over, and I mean well over the 10 year/ $300 Million deal Kevin Durant signed. In no time we will be calling James a billionaire.
He said it himself actually,
“I doesn’t make sense to me right now, I haven’t got a grip on it. I haven’t got a grasp on what just happened today with this announcment.”
Lastly one thing to take away from this all is how LBJ never forgets his roots, from where it all started, whether it be Akron, Ohio and just putting the city on the map or his very first signature shoe. Yes, he still holds dearly to him his Nike LeBron Zoom Generation 1, that is the silhouette to birth a legacy and what brings us now to the Nike LeBron 13.
