With the NBA offseason in full swing, trade rumors are expected to be flying around for the weeks leading up to free agency that is scheduled to begin on July 1st. We’ve seen plenty of big names across the association be brought up in trade talks, one of them being Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.
With Blake Griffin and Chris Paul both expected to bolt in free agency this summer, some speculate that the Clips may be looking to unload their only other star in Jordan to kick off a full-blown rebuild.
While the trade speculation was already denied once, Clippers Vice President of Basketball Operations reiterated that belief, calling DeAndre a ‘cornerstone’ for this Clippers team. Following from ESPN’s Arash Markazi:

It’s no surprise that Frank is adamant about keeping DeAndre Jordan in Los Angeles. He is one of the elite interior presences in the entire NBA and his ability to control the paint on both ends is one of the foundations of the Clippers success. With a lot on the line this offseason for the Clips, it’s clear they are aware of one thing and that is how vital Jordan is to their franchise moving forward.
