
The San Antonio Spurs have announced that forward LaMarcus Aldridge will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season. The Spurs announced through social media that Aldridge underwent a surgical procedure on his right shoulder that will keep him out of action until next year. The Spurs’ statement also includes a message from Aldridge where he states that he believes he’ll be “fully ready to go next season and beyond.”

In 53 appearances for the Spurs this season, Aldridge averaged 18.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game prior to the season’s suspension on March 11th due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Spurs currently hold a record of 27-36, 12th place in the Western Conference, and one of the 22 teams that will take part in the resumption of the NBA season beginning July 31st.
