Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is the man behind a lot of upcoming series and films we are waiting to see. The New York rapper is preparing another season of the Starz hit, Power. In addition, he’s working on a new series for ABC and another series chronicling the rise of BMF. Not to mention, he’s also working on a series called The Oath for Starz. This week, we learned that he’s working on another series with his Power co-star, Lala Anthony.
Anthony and Jackson have signed on to produce a new series called Intercepted. The series will be based on Alexa Martin’s bestselling book, The Playbook, which chronicles the eight years she spent married to an NFL player. The series will follow the character of Marlee Harper, who will be played by Anthony. Harper’s life is turned upside down when her ten year relationship with her NFL star boyfriend unexpectedly ends. In the aftermath, she pledges to never to date an athlete again. However, things become complicated when a an NFL quarterback by the name of Gavin Pope shoots his shot with Harper.
As reported by Deadline, the new series starring Anthony is the latest in Jackson’s overall deal with Starz. As previously reported on Def Pen, 50 Cent is producing Power, Vanguard and Black Mafia Family for the network. There is no set date for the release of this latest series.
